• Defense verdict in Stone International Market v. City of Wheat Ridge, U.S. District Court. The Plaintiff alleged that the City violated the Plaintiff’s equal protection rights based on race. The Plaintiff requested $2 million in damages.
   

• Defense verdict in Dolan v. Grahn, Boulder County District Court. The Plaintiff sought damages for injuries sustained when he slipped and fell on the property he rented from the Defendants.

Recent Municipal Law Developments of Interest

• On February 22, 2010, the Colorado Supreme Court issued an opinion striking down Amendment 54, the voter initiated measure passed in November 2008 that prohibits and imposes penalties on campaign donations from those holding sole source contracts to state and local candidates for elective office.  The opinion can be accessed at:
